Senior Management Responsibility
Senior management recognises their responsibilities in terms of ensuring that the company provides a safe and healthy environment for all its employees and ensuring compliance with all necessary and relevant safety regulations.
Departmental Responsibility
The company employs a Healthy & Safety representative who's responsibility is to ensure that the company operates and adheres to the required guidelines and statutory regulations. InPipe's Health and Safety policy is reviewed annually in order to ensure that InPipe's management and employees are kept aware of all the current legislation that may effect the way in which the company operates.
Employees Responsibility
It is the responsibility of all InPipe's employees to ensure that they adhere to the guidelines and procedures as laid down by the company's Health & Safety Policy. This includes the use of protective equipment and ensuring that any actions that are taken by them while conducting their duties will not endanger themselves, colleagues or any visitors.
Records and Documentation
As part of both it's statutory and company requirements, InPipe maintains a system for the reporting and recording of accidents and incidents, which are reviewed by both the Senior Management and the Safety Representative in order to determine if and what preventable measures can be taken to ensure non-reoccurrence.
Safety Audits
InPipe's Safety Representative undertakes, as part of his duties, an annual audit of the procedures and practices of the company that forms part of the Management's Annual Quality Review agenda for discussion and resolution. The scope of the audit may include but is not limited to, the following:
- Identification of any new hazards under COSHH requirements
- Assessment of the risks identified
- Assessment of safety performance
- Review of safety procedures and arrangements
- Adequacy of information available to all employees
